You can't make this stuff up.

UPDATE 1-Total CEO calls for bigger euro role in oil payments | Reuters

"There is no reason to pay for oil in dollars," he said. He said the fact that oil prices are quoted in dollars per barrel did not mean that payments actually had to be made in that currency.

Total CEO de Margerie killed in Moscow as jet hits snow plow | Reuters

(Reuters) - Christophe de Margerie, the charismatic and outspoken chief executive of the French oil company Total, was killed when his private jet hit a snow plow as it was taking off from Moscow's Vnukovo airport on Monday night.

His death leaves a void at the top of one of the world's biggest listed oil firms at a difficult time for the industry as oil prices fall and state-backed competitors keep them out of some of the best oil exploration territory.

De Margerie, 63, was a strong opponent of Western economic sanctions against Russia over its actions in Ukraine, and had been attending a meeting on foreign investment with around 30 other foreign executives at Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev's country residence in Gorki near Moscow.

I imagine it was Putin. He's got a ton of dollars and doesn't want them devalued any more than we do.

It's a sad state of affairs for the world today when the CIA controls the snow plowmen at Moscow's international airport.

Russia has gold and has been actively trying to de-dollarize every chance they get. If the floor falls from under the dollar right now, Russia will be fine.

Guess the CIA got this plow driver drunk, as the initial screening by Russian authorities has determined him to have been inebriated at the time.

Our government can't get a simple website to work and people want to believe they're capable of international subterfuge of this magnitude. And keep it quiet?

If the website could be used to kill people it would be working. The US is very good at that kind of stuff

Killing people isn't difficult. Killing people with a drunken Russian snow plowmen, however, is hit and miss.
