I dunno. When was the last legislation reid blocked.

This can't be said enough. The major stumbling block to any legislation being passed is Harry Reid.

The Senate hasn't passed a budget in 8 years under Dirty Harry's "leadership" but people like LG and Alex look the other way and blame the House.

When this last ditch effort by Boehner doesn't work, I'll lay you 10 to 1 that if he has a presser about it he will say its Obama's fault that the GOP couldn't come to terms with itself.

The Senate I believe has something ready. The way this works is that the House passes its own, then there is a conference committee between the two to negotiate something in between.

So you would not be able to blame this on the Senate.

Appears that there are enough members in the House content to just let this issue simmer, and blame Obama for the mid-terms, than try to do something to deal with it. Ironically, that may be why Boehner is calling for Obama to put the funding in place by executive action.

(Note: This does not account for the fact that, if Obama followed Boehner's advice, Boehner would of course sue him for it.)

Anything passed is completely useless without the border being secure. Until that happens it's all a vote buying game for the ignorant masses

Well, two problems with your assessment. Number 1, if you want the kids processed and returned, they need a ton more staff down there to do that. That's a huge part of the Senate/Obama proposed outlays. Number 2, in the meantime you have to house, clothe, and feed these kids. That is also going to cost a bunch.

This is per the Bush law of 2008.

So the GOP cannot just pretend this problem does not exist. And they cannot pretend like its all Obama's fault. So, once again, we see the GOP playing politics with an issue with an utter disregard to the question of making a sound policy choice.

The problem exists because the border had never been secured. This problem will continue until that happens. So concentrate on the kids being played up for TV of you want but the true issue is being ignored. It's basically putting a bandaid on a gunshot wound

ICE: where are you from?
IA kid: Honduras
ICE: bus 3. Next

Fund the busses with the Obama vacation fund and it's all done

The Bush law of 2008 pertains to Mexican immigrants not immigrants from other Central American countries.

Michele shouldn't mind. Sounds like a plan.
