Your results will not be seen. I will wait to vote until a couple of votes show up.

Anyone see Ford's drop-in appearance against Corker's presser?

Good strategy. If Corker wants to run and hide, take the fight to him. Make Corker look scared and push him to slip up and say something stupid. If Corker is on the defensive, he's more likely to make poor decisions and statements. If you have the momentum, take the free media and opportunity to pose as a man of the people.

IMHO...

If you're for Ford, it looks like Ford put Corker on the spot.

If your're for Corker, it makes Ford look like a rude jerk.

If you're undecided, it makes Ford look a little desparate.

I think Ford's little stunt made him look like a desperate, rude jerk.

there's something oily about him...maybe it's because he reminds me of Derek Jeter, and I'm a Yankee hater...

Actually quite a few undecideds I've spoken with said it was a smart move. Corker has been running and hiding. Ford just decided to track the man down and pin him down on the issues. This only made it apparent that Corker just cannot seem to face Ford no matter where in the state. It makes Corker out to be arrogant and overconfident.

I think you nailed it. People are going to see what they want to see.

Regardless of whether you see Ford as rude or not, you have to question Bob Corker's ability as an elected legislator. Senators cannot shy away from debate or argument...that is more than half their job! Sure, part of the job is voting what you believe on issues, but anyone can do that. That most important part is being able to persuade others, through debate, that what you believe is the right way. It is sad that Corker does not even attempt that.

Yeah, I have a hard time believing that as well. I can't believe that this is the best candidate the GOP could find.

I am with you in that boat. Not only that, Frist who still has a ton of pull in TN politics did not come out and endorse any of the GOP candidates in the primaries and has yet to come out and endorse Corker. I have a feeling the GOP knew that Ford was going to win TN, no matter who was running against him, and wanted to save whatever good candidates were out there.

Yeah, the Frist thing is peculiar.

Corker is running a campaign that may look good in his war room, but is not playing very well with an awful lot of average folks who are weary of the issue skirting bash ads.

That said, the polls remain too close to call on this race.
Whether there are enough Demos and centrist undecideds to swing the entire state is the question everyone is waiting an answer to.
