I was just behind a couple who bought $42 worth of beer and cigarettes on their EBT....
And then bought $20 of lottery tickets in cash. More libertarian every f-ing day..... |

| EBT here uses some sort of UPC recognition (as best I can tell) so it won't purchase things like beer or cigs. Also, there's food EBT and debit EBT, but there are restrictions on both. | |

| Yeah in my experience they buy the groceries with the EBT card then make a separate purchase to get their beer and cigs. I wouldn't be shocked if they changed it though. | |
