I agree. I really don't know if the flood story in the bible is meant to be taken literally or not, but if there really was a man named Noah who built an ark and survived a flood, I believe that ark detoriated long ago. Just like the Ark of the Covenant and the Holy Grail, I think they are looking for something that no longer exists. It does make for some interesting speculation though.

The good news is that in a few years after global warming has raised the surface temperature of the earth by a few hundred degrees, the ark will be freed from its frozen resting place atop mt. ararat, and slide gently down the muddy face of the mountain to newly flooded region below to once again sail an earth covered by water.

Then we can finally lay all this silly speculation to rest.

I would never call anyone a liar because of what they believe. I used to be a strong Southern Baptist myself, and I know that most Christians are very sincere in what they believe, and live it to the best of their ability. I chose to leave christianity after I studied the teachings of the faith in depth for myself and came to some disturbing conclusions.

I agree that the world is a very evil place, and it always has been.
What faith and what teachings did you study?

Like I said, I was raised Southern Baptist, and that's what I was most of my life. What I studied was the bible itself. Without getting into too much detail, let's just say that there are some things in there that I found quite appalling.

Well, Southern Baptists have only been around for a couple centuries. Read into Catholic, 2000 years of Christianity, tradition and teaching, which clearly states that the Bible is not supposed to be taken literally but wholistically.

I bet you do not believe in Area 51 either, how can you discredit Bob Lazar!

Or any of the 50 or so flood stories, my favorite one is the Hawaiian one.

Any crediblity you had just went out the window, after you quoted Bob Lazar.
