| | doo doo doo | Regardless if someone else is ready to step in, this was one evil bastard. Getting him and at least one of his key lieutenants is definately a positive.
They've also retrieved a large amount of intell. from raids associated with this event.
It's not a bad day for anyone but Al-Zarqawi and his thugs.

Yes the wackoes will see this as more ammo for the martyrdom mill but how could anyone short of the most radical and insane, sociopathic muslim see this scum bag as anything but a brutal, murderous, heathenistic savage, slime ball. His life brought nothing but misery, pain and piles of dead bodies for the world. Nothing good came from his tenure on the earth and his departure should be seen as a glorious day for all civilized peoples irrespective of their religion of nationality. |

Planning for the operation was "a very long, painstaking, deliberate exploitation of intelligence, information- gathering, human sources, electronic, signal intelligence that was done over a period of time -- many, many weeks," Caldwell said. |

Don't get me wrong, I think it's a good thing this guy is dead, it's just that it probably won't make that big of a difference in the grand scheme of things. |

| | Super Moderator | My bad, it was Jordan's sources that helped us find him... Quote: |
the information came from Jordan's sources inside Iraq and led the U.S. military to the area where Iraq's prime minister said Zarqawi was killed in an airstrike Wednesday night, said the official, who has knowledge of the operation.
