| Ron Paul, if he isn't the nominee, I'm voting Libertarian. Quite frankly, they are pretty much all interchangeable except for Paul.

| Huntsman vote here. The China connection is huge in my opionion. Handles himself well in the debates and interviews as well. Comes across as knowledgeable and reasonable on most issues. |

| All I heard from most of them is.... "hey, let's go to war!" Where is that money going to come from?
Best quote I saw last night "Republicans want to spend us into bankruptcy via wars, the Democrats want to spend us into bankruptcy via welfare, Ron Paul wants neither"
I don't get you guys that are so invested in foreign policy when we have so much f****d up s**t here in the US that needs fixing.
I've got an uncle that has been talking about the Baby Boomer retirement as an incredibly difficult time in our country for years... he use to be a stock broker and saw the writing on the walls last decade. This morning, just read this article: 25 Bitter And Painful Facts About The Coming Baby Boomer Retirement Crisis That Will Blow Your Mind
We are in grave and serious danger as a nation AT HOME due to economic issues, and all I heard last night was more war! Again, where is that money going to come from as well as the money needed to deal with the budget shortfalls all over the country? |

| The reason all you heard last night was more "war" because the debate was ONLY about NATIONAL SECURITY |

"I think the aid is all worthless. It doesn't do any good for most of the people. You take money from poor people in this country and you end up giving it to rich people in poor countries. And they're used as weapons of war so you accomplish nothing. We should export maybe some principles about free markets and sound money and maybe they can produce some of their own wealth. But this whole idea of talking about the endless wars and the endless foreign aid, it seems like nobody cares about the budget. I mean, we're in big trouble, and nobody wants to cut anything. So if you're going to keep sending foreign aid overseas and these endless wars that you don't have to declare and go into Libya without even consulting with the Congress, the biggest threat, the biggest threat to our national security is our financial condition. This is just aggravating it," -- Ron Paul @ GOP debate 11/23/2011
See, an answer in a National Security debate that didn't include "Bomb them" or "Boots on the ground". |
