The Engineers That Designed...

The new stadiums in Dallas and Indy should be fired. Do they not do some kind of testing involving sunlight? Both of these stadiums are terrible to watch a noon game at on tv. Almost unwatchable.

The engineers have no say on whether or not the dome is opened for a noon game.

I wonder how it is too watch a game from the upper deck there. Seems like your eyes would just stay focused on the jumbotron.

I'm not talking about the sun coming in from the roof. I'm talking about the sun beaming in from above each end zone.

TV cameras probably make it seem worse than it is. Even high end digital stuff has trouble making the transition from indoor light to bright sunlight.

I know the punt returner for Indy had trouble with that one catch, but that would have happened in an outdoor stadium too. I think it's a welcome trend in dome stadiums that they're not completely enclosed.

I saw them play the Falcons and I wasn't sitting THAT high up and it was a challenge to not simply watch it on the jumbotron.

I caught myself watching live action on it like it was on TV more than once.

The jumbotron was placed at the exact height that the league suggested it to be. That is why Jerry wanted th league to finance raising it after that preseon Titans game.

Also, am I supposed to believe that sunlight doesn't shine down on open air stadiums?

To the OP, nice thread...
