I agree that titans need a qb and have for a while, but I don't think VY is going to answer ANY of their problems.

The Titans should change to VY because Collins is playing terrible this year and VY at least brings his mobility into play. If Vince Young can go back to playing like he did when he was a rookie, he could definitely help. Fisher is just being stubborn in not playing him which could lead to his firing.

QB is about #71 on the list of things wrong with the Titans, but I think they'll wait until they're 0-6 to turn it over to Slim JaMarcus, if they do at all.

Honestly, the DEFENSE of the Titans is so discouraging. We have made Garrard and Schaub look like Peyton Manning or Tom Brady. In order for the team to improve, the defense must get back to playing tough, lights out defense. The offense needs to string together drives to let the defense rest, its just not happening. I doubt VY could do any better. Last year the identity of the Titans was defense, this year, they might have had their identity stolen by the Broncos.

You did watch Vince Young play in the pros after 2006 right??

Teams play zone QB contain and make Young read the defense - which he can't do. Then he can't run either. But the main thing being he can't read defenses on throws

Except the pats of course, who throw the same stuff at him they do at manning - and since vince can't read coverages and blitzes pre-snap it's even easier for them

The only reason to change to Young is if the Titans go to 0-6 and that will mean any playoff chance is gone. Then all the pressure will be off, and at that point he can use the final 10 games as a tryout for whoever he plays for next year.

Much like there's a reason Stephens isn't playing for the Vols, there's a reason Young isn't playing for the Titans. Collins is still their best shot, and will be until any playoff hopes are gone.

Someone made an interesting point on the radio this afternoon: the Oilers should play Young, because all he can do is help his value (to both himself if he's cut or the team if they wish to trade him). As of now he's worthless on the trade market with that contract.
