| So what are the chances this turns out to be something other than him messing around on his wife? Maybe the woman was a friend of theirs? Or he was there for some other reason?

| This sucks. I was a huge McNair fan for a long time. Loved the toughness he brought to the position and to the game. Sad day for football. |

| i am still at a loss of words. this is the last guy i would have expected something like this to happen to. I randomly bumped into him in the fall of 2003 and just shook his hand and was just amazed at how approachable and nice he was. not only will i remember the toughness he brought to the game, but how genuine and caring he was as a human being. this is just so very sad and upsetting. i won't jump to any conclusions yet as to how things went down, but if the person that did this is in fact still alive they need to be fried. my thoughts will be with his family and steve will forever be one of my all time favorites to ever have played the game. i just can't believe this happened.

| This is so sad. My friend texted me this while I was at a movie. He's one of the last people I would expect this to happen to. One of my favorite players ever. Seemed like such a classy guy. |

| It is such a waste. 4 kids with no daddy is unimaginable. Just hope the killer gets the death penalty.

| I was profoundly saddened when this news broke today. God bless his family and grant them the strength both to cope with their loss, and to endure the media scrutiny to come.
RIP Steve, you will be missed. |

| News says McNair was shot multiple times including one to the head on the couch, woman shot once in the head, body found on the floor close to McNair. Black Escalade was registered to both McNair and woman. Woman was named Ms. Kazany...maybe spelt wrong, I just spelt it the way it sounds. Kazany was recently charged with a DUI on Thursday night driving on Broadway in downtown Nashville, driving the black Escalade with McNair as the passenger. McNair was able to leave the scene.
