| | Vol Fanatic | I honestly don't see the big deal. Combines/workouts are basically worthless. We do know that he's dominated on the field in his 3 years, been far and away the best run blocker, and given up so few sacks that he can count them on his fingers. |

Not in a league when there are a bunch of guys who basically check out for awhile once they get the big paycheck. |

| Kiper and McShay released their new mocks today. They both agree that Stafford will go #1. If I was Detroit, I'd go with Jason Smith.
Stafford is going to be a huge bust from the #1 spot. |

These types of signs are still highway markers on the trip to Bustville.
But I think honestly it will help him to be drafted lower, with some question marks attached to his name. It might actually serve to save his NFL career, energize his work ethic a bit, and make him try harder for that bigger/better contract. If he still gets picked Top 10 with all these issues I think the pressure will mount and he could very easily find his way with a one-way ticket to Bustville.

Stafford is going to be a huge bust from the #1 spot. | Especially in Motown.

| I have a feeling smith didn't get that much worse. He was stupid... but he is still a beast on the field. He's gotten get picked up somewhere.... |

I am hoping we somehow trade this pick (unlikely nobody wants it) or atleast pick up players that can actually build a team, ala BJ Raji, Monroe, guy from Wake.
Drafting Stafford at this point is like putting in electrical before the foundation is poured. That has always been the Lions motto. Stafford will be doomed with the Lions. |

| I bet he still ends up in the top ten. For all its bluster, the NFL is still the NFL. |
