It doesn't look like he was targeted because he was an athlete. Sounds to me like he was out late at night when things like that tend to happen.

True, but there have been plenty of situations of athletes being the target of robbery and violence. Especially football players. Look at Darrent Williams and Sean Taylor for an example.

Agree, but I would imagine much of that happens at "questionable" establishments or because of being surrounded by the wrong kind of people. The simple fact is that when you are that famous and or wealthy people look at you with a jealous eye. It is best for people like that to avoid those types of places and people.
