I liked him as a player, liked his heart. Not the sharpest tool in the shed though.

but he had a diff injury every wk and nvr practiced during the wk but by game day he was able to play. did anyone else notice this?

severe cases of turf toe plagued him for several yrs

Yeah. The season he won Co-MVP he never practiced, but played pretty well.

Only two other guys had thrown for 30,000 yards and rushed for 3,500 before McNair

Fran Tarkenton and Steve Young.

I'd say it's safe to say McNair has a Hall of Fame resume even moreso if he had a ring.

I think you are right about his resume. He will be one of those guys who gets looked over more than a few years before he gets his bust. Suffice it to say he is nowhere near a first ballot guy.
