| | Steeler Six Pack! | Divisional wrap up...... Well, a couple of good games, and a couple of not so good games.
Jags/Pats.....well, there is a reason the pats are undefeated. despite most of the free world wanting them to lose, self included, there's this nagging thing about them being awesome we seem to forget. the jags played about as well as they possibly could, save the turnovers (you just can't do that against the pats) and the patriots took that and whooped 'em. as has been said all year, i just don't think there's anyone capable of beating them. there's not a defense left that matches up with he pats offense. for all intents and purposes, i think the drama is out of this NFL post season. it's not a matter of "if" anymore, simply "when".
colts/bolts.....this one has to hurt for colts fans. fortuitous bounces in the two int's for the bolts were the difference. Marvin Harrison fumbling away a probable TD drive. the colts had that game sewed up offensively until the 4th qtr.
but even after all that, and as well as Phillip Rivers played, you can look to the Colts defense as the true culprit in this loss. you had the lead in the 4th qtr at home in the playoffs and you got beat by Billy Volek and someone not named LT. way to do colts D. there will be those that blame Peyton, and that's fine, but the both picks hit receivers in the hands and Harrison's fumble was killer.
neither team though impressed me enough to say they can beat NE next weekend.
GB/Seattle..........wow, that game was perfect. Lambeau. Snow. Brett Favre having a great game. so glad i have HD. kudos to #25 for rebounding after an awful 1st qtr to have an all time game.
Cowboys/Giants......i love it. at least one team i wanted to lose lost. though i could have jumped thru my tv when NY had the ball with a little less than 4 minutes to go, up by four and on 2nd and 5 with NINE GUYS IN THE BOX, ran it up the middle. that, ladies and gentlemen, is the kind of call that reeks of "play not to lose". and sure as i was sitting there, they didn't get the 1st down and gave the ball back to the cowboys with great field position and plenty of time left to score. credit the giants D in the 4th qtr, they came alive and got pressure on Romo. Huge win for Eli, who played well.
looking forward to the c'ship weekend:
NE/SD: NE big. SD if nothing else is a little beat up after a fairly physical game with Indy, but even w/out that, is there anyone that would bet on Phillip Rivers against Tom Brady? or Vincent Jackson against Randy Moss? and, well, forget those match ups.....there's no match up for the chargers D against the Patriots O that favors the chargers. Lamb led to slaughter.
NE 38 SD 20
GB/NY: this could be a good game. NY proved this week that their D could contain a potent Offense. but Brett Favre at Lambeau is entirely different animal. i expect a fairly close game, but GB pulls this one out in the end.
GB 27 NY 23
and we have a SB rematch.....NE vs. GB in the desert. and NE likely wins a shoot out, in what could be a fairly entertaining SB, but the end of this NFL season is pre destined.
NE 41 GB 34
and we're all witness to the greates NFL football season by a team ever. and only Volwindy and myrobbins are happy about it.

| | May 9, 2014 :) | Well Even if the pats were to lose, yes a little disappointment, but the enjoyment came with the Steelers, the Colts, and the Cowboys losing their first game in the post season is the best thing I have seen this entire NFL season.
I will say on a side note, I would be alright with Favre beating the Pats, he deserves to go out on a bang, or better yet Eli beating the Pats, doing something his brother couldn't do this year. |

Ok, fine this season. Either way, Eli has already done one step better than his bro. |
