| WOW! Byron Leftwich to be wavied? ESPNews' Chris Mortensen reports that Byron Leftwich will be released or traded before the season.
It's amazing how poorly the Jaguars have handled their quarterback quandry the last two years. If Garrard had such a good shot, why waste first-team snaps on Leftwich all offseason? Why not deal Leftwich on draft day? At least they finally made a choice. Leftwich's $5 million base salary and an uneven preseason were the deciding factors here. QB-hungry teams like Minnesota, Oakland, Kansas City, and Atlanta especially could show interest. 12-team redraft fantasy owners can drop Leftwich, although deep leaguers should wait to see where he goes. |

| The Jags should try to convince Plummer out of retirement. They have one of if not the best D-Lines in the league. If they could just get some solid QB play they could win the South this year. |

| Great move by Jags
If Byron goes to ATL, he will be Joey's backup
Harrington has done too much to lose that job |

| The preseason means nothing, especially for guys entering their fifth and sixth years.
Harrington has 72 career tds and 79 ints and a 68 rating
Leftwich has 51 tds and 36 ints 80.5 rating.
Harrington has much more to prove. |

| not to the ATL coaches
If Leftwich was signed by the Falcons today, Harrington would be the starter
Preseason does mean something or Leftwich wouldn't have been cut |

| Leftwich has had one foot out of the Jax door for a while now.
Of course Harrington would be the starter. BL wouldn't know the system or plays yet.
Harrington will not be the starter for the Falcons next season. He has proven nothing other than the fact he can't get it done. They are just trying to ride him to a top pick to get Brohm. |

| You tell me nothing I don't already know....
My point was Leftwich wouldn't be able to come right in and get the starting job in Atlanta. |
