Jared Zabransky.....

Where does he go in the draft??? To be completely honest I like the toughness he brings and the leadership. I think personally he could be the second best QB in the draft behind Russell. He has a "Brett Farve" thing about him for some reason, don't what it is really.

I agree with you on his toughness and competiveness, but NO way he is better than Quinn. There are still a number of QB's better than him.

Zabransky - 6th in Passing Efficiency, 32nd in Yards, 13th in Completion Pct., Tied for 20th in INTs, Tied for 20th in TD's, and 5th in Yards per Completion.

Quinn - Tied for 17th in Passing Efficiency, 10th in Yards, Tied for 27th in Completion Pct., Tied for 13th in INTs, 3rd in TD's, and Tied for 42nd in Yards per Completion.

So its a tie, 3-3 in the main passing categories. Also Boise State went undefeated and they did beat a good Oklahoma team in the Fiesta Bowl. Quinn isn't a good as everyone thinks. I look at him as a bigger version of David Carr. I think Zabransky will do very well in the NFL with the moxy he has.

David Carr is better than he gets credit for. I think he'll be OK when he gets traded. As for the passing stats, Notre Dame didn't play the toughest competition, but their schedule was still much tougher than Boise State's.

He's projected as a 2nd rounder...

His downsides are his lack of size and armstrength. He's just not that big of a guy (a little under 6'2") and can't rocket it.

His upsides are his speed, being one of the fastest QB's in the draft. His accuracy is also unbeatable when he gets on a hot streak. He is capable of dropping a football on a dime from 40 yards out.

Also, his decision making and overall football acumen have increased exponentially over the last year. He is definitley not the same player we all saw get creamed by Georgia.

With the lack of size but good play and crazy comeback to cap off his college career, I'd say Zabransky is the closest thing we have to a modern Doug Flutie.

2nd?! I find that hard to believe.

I think he aided in Oklahoma's comeback in that game more than he did Boise State's with that marvelous pick 6 late in regulation...

Now let me ask you this, were those the numbers Zabransky had from playing San Jose St, Wyoming, and Sacramento St. Also what doesnt show up on the stat sheet is Quinn's ability to read defenses and audible at the line. His mechanics are a lot better than Zabransky's.

Kinda like Quinn's numbers against the military in 2006?

Oklahoma had already come back at that point. Zabransky's pick put the Broncos down 7.

I think his arm is too weak...smart and a good leader...but ricky clausen was that, lol....and for quinn..i am calling a flop on him right now..write it on a calender...his numbers would SUCK if it was not for the lil army teams ND picks on every year!

Everybody else is calling Quinn a flop, as well. That's why his stock dropped. We all know that ND plays a bunch of patsies then loses to the 2-3 decent teams they play every year. Despite all that, Quinn still is good on paper and could pan out in the NFL.

Zabransky will be a fourth to sixth round pick IMO.
