It just got a little more difficult to be Tim Tebow

A website is offering a million dollars to the woman who can have sex with him and prove it.

I have some hard feelings towards old Tim due to his stay in Gainesville. And I also feel like he takes himself too seriously which can be annoying. But I greatly respect the stand he has taken for the Lord.

It galls me that our culture has become one that disapproves of Tim's decision to abstain from premarital sex rather than respecting him for valuing something above it (a rare trait for a man, especially in the 21st century). Since when did our country become one that scoffed at a man that is trying follow Christ and enjoys the idea of his sin. It's one thing to lack self-control, but finding satisfaction in tempting someone else to lose theirs is in a completely different league.

I don't think most people think that way. I'm not overtly religious and I attend church only a few times a year, but I've got a lot of respect for him.

I don't think that most people think that way, but I don't think you're typical either. I think most people are like "he's crazy." At least most people outside of the south. But I also think there is a Hollywood-centric values system that has its fair amount of devotees that absolutely enjoys the idea of Timmy falling. That wasn't true even 20 years ago.

Most people I know that hate on him has more to do with ESPN hype and the media storm despite the fact that he's just not a very good QB.

Our society today isn't any different than every society before us, imo. And the only difference we can make is the way we teach our children, and the example we set.

Ask anyone born before 1950 if that is true. The 60's changed everything for the good in some ways but in many ways for the bad, IMO. The last society like ours was probably pre-reformation/printing press. Not saying that bad stuff that happens today didn't happen before the 60's(and often) but the "spirit of the age" was very different.

So, my thoughts are this are...every generation has their share of sideways. Whether it's publicized the way it is now a days or not, they have been there. Go all the way back to Soddam and Gomorrah. Nobody in recent history invented debauchery.

You can look at writing from almost any era and find authors using the cliches of "kids these days", "hectic modern times", and other similar drool.

I personally think Tebow is a fool for not embracing his youth but don't really understand the bounty. Did it specifically say the reward has to go to a female?
