No... OWB was right, the Skins o-line is putrid. You don't succeed in the NFL without a good o-line, end of story.

I actually do want them to get better. That's my favorite football in the NFL to watch, when they are both doing well, playing against eachother.

Getting closer. . .

it was a funny interview yesterday when a reporter asked him what his actual job is now that he has no play-calling duties and never really touched the offense. "I'm going to be on the sidelines keeping the spirits high"

WASHINGTON—Washington Redskins head coach Jim Zorn held a press conference Sunday to reassure fans that, despite an inability to effectively execute their offense, defense, or special teams, the Redskins were still somewhat comparable to a real football team. "It's been a tough season so far, and even though we are 2-4, we still have players, uniforms, Motorola headsets—all the components that technically constitute an NFL team, sort of," Zorn said while grimacing and making a "so-so" gesture with his hand. "Sure, I was stripped of play-calling responsibilities by team management, and I really don't have any clue who will play quarterback for us this Sunday, but I swear to you, in a weird, very convoluted way, we are in the NFL." Placing his hand over the microphone, Zorn then spoke briefly with an unidentified man near the stage, and announced that, for what it's worth, the organization owns the Internet domain name washingtonredskins.com through 2010.

What really angers me is that I cannot mock Cowboy fans and the Jerry Jones situation without feeling like a hypocrite.

Look, I LOATHE the skins, eagles and giants. BUT the NFL is a MUCH better product when they are all competitive and doing well. When one team in the division is far superior or even say 3 games better than any of the others, it makes the overall product worse. It was AWESOME when the Boys, skins, giants and eagles were all good and the cards sucked. The entire NFL benefited from that. I can't stand Jerry Jones and some of his ego-maniacal crap. But Danny Snyder is like a morphine drip for the skins. You don't feel anything and eventually you die. It is very sad.

Redskins, deadskins! I used to be a Skins fan until 12-13 years ago when my favorite UT QB was drafted by the Colts-not looking back.

Trivia question answer-Redskins

Question: What team loses more often to teams having a losing record?

Case in point: Washington lost to Detroit. Believe that Lions had lost 17-18 in a row. Lions may have had at least 1 win this season before beating the Skins-not sure though.
Skins also lost to Chiefs 14-6. Chiefs had 4 FG's and one safety; Skins haD 2 FG's. Even the Skins backup QB was sacked in the endzone for 2 points. The starting QB was benched. Should have benched him earlier. Skins in desparate need of a QB. If they get one it sure won't be one of the top 2 who will be in the draft.
Question? What's that stink in Washington DC?(maybe)
It's the Redskins and Nationals! They're sure stinking up the place.

If the Indians pick Manny Acta as their coach, what's their chances next season of moving upin their division? 25%, 50%, 75%

Will another coach help the Nats or do they need more money to spend on getting better players? I think it's both.

By the way, Skins will bring up the bottom of their division. Giants to win it with Eagles and Cowboys next with the Skins holding up the top three. Skins record prediction : 6-10 or no better than 7-9(maybe)

Hate to see it, but he's done. Samuels is going to retire. . .

Washington Redskins left tackle Chris Samuels will retire because of a severe neck injury he suffered in Week 5, according to a report.

League sources told The Washington Post that the six-time Pro Bowler shared his decision with some members of the team after consulting a specialist in California.

Samuels suffers from stenosis, a narrowing of the spine that caused him to wear a neck brace for extra protection when he played, and was already dealing with significant knee pain all season, according to the paper.

Dan Snyder feels bad for us

washingtonpost.com

Quote:
"I feel bad for the fans," Snyder said, according to a transcript on the team's official Web site. "I feel sorry for the fans. And we're very, very appreciative of our great, loyal fan base. And I'm understanding. I mean, we just feel terrible. We're disappointed, and we're embarrassed. And we hope to get it going soon. We're disappointed
Quote:
"It hurts," Snyder said. "I mean, it really hurts. We are really trying very, very hard. Everyone at Redskins Park -- the coaches, the players. The organization's really, quite frankly, held up well.

"And I think we have an opportunity the rest of the season to hopefully get it going. But to date, we've let everyone down -- including ourselves. We know that. We're just apologetic."
Maybe he has learned a lesson?

Strike up the band?

Redskins win, and the Broncos have lost three consecutive games.

It is time for Denver to take a long, long look in the mirror.
