Virus scan from Volnation freak

happened to me too. didn't know it was bc of volnation though. If it happens again ill try to remember the ads

I got this the other day after opening the ad for windstream.com DSL,telephone,TV combo packs. The one with the little green 50 something Chevy truck with the flames in front.........

I hit log out and left the computer this morning. When I came back, the log out screen was still gray and Windows Police Pro had me totally shut down on my computer. This is about the third time it's happened (Windows Pro 2009 the other two times). I didn't realize til this morning that it actually was Volnation doing it. Gonna have to stay away from the site I guess, all we have running now is the laptop and I can't afford to lose it too.

Have a great season everyone! Maybe I'll sneak in from work now and then and pray our IT guys have better protection than what I have at home.

When i logged on yesterday and clicked on a thread i was promted to dl Adobe flash. wierd..

There was an ad issue that slipped through from one of our advertisers. We shut down all ads from that provider and have not reinstated them. That solved the particular issue you guys were experiencing. Things have been perfectly normal since we removed the ads from that specific provider.

We had a different issue arise in the past 24 hours. Unfortunately, someone logged on yesterday/last night and posted malicious code in four different threads on the board. The issue has been resolved and it will not be a problem in the future. The bad part is that we were forced to disable all html from within posts.. meaning no more embedded video, etc.

I apologize for the inconvenience and it's unfortunate that people would do this.

I am so glad I logged back in to see if there were any updates on this (I snuck in on the laptop twice yesterday just PRAYING nothing happened, lol.)

That stupid Windows Police Pro is the most annoying thing I've ever come across. It gets in the registry and disables system restore. It also disables running any exe applications. It took the entire day to get this computer back up and going.

I just had my anti virus tell me a threat was detected while I was here on Volnation.I opened a thread and another window popped up so I closed it immediately and then my anti virus popped up.

It works great. Provided you can run it. What happened to me yesterday was that it disabled my computer from running any applications, including Malwarebytes. But as soon as I get the registry fixed, I downloaded it again and ran it (if you already have it installed it's useless once that Windows Police Pro or Windows Pro 2009 things gets ya.)

Yeah,I was thinking I'm glad he got this taken care of and then bam,I got hit.I hope it doesn't happen again because I would hate to stop coming in here.
