Question For Mods...

Is there a way to possibly show which threads have been moved or possibly keep new threads on the main page regardless of the forum they're in?

The reason I ask is that I've noticed several duplicate threads in various forums and although I normally look around to find threads of similar topic before I start one, many posters obviously don't.

Not sure if this is a fixable issue, just thought I'd ask.

TIA and (ironically) SIAP

Just wish some posters would look around before posting new threads. Maybe if moved/merged threads could be seen on the main page some people would take the hint. Of course, I'm sure I'm setting my hopes too high.

It's a neverending problem. We try to leave a redirect notice on the page that we move the thread from, but that gets more difficult when we get a bunch of duplicate threads about the same topic. On the whole, it's just something that happens on an active message board.

I set my hopes too high thinking that people might embrace the search function

Same Thread, New Question...

I've gotten a pop-up for downloading something from pb.mookie1.com or .view or something like that for two days now on this site. Anyone know what this is?

TIA

Hate to say it, but that sounds like a virus on your end.
