End Of An Era.

With the announcement of Manu Ginobli's injury sidelining him for the playoffs, it appears the curtain has been drawn on the Spurs' semi-dynasty. As they are currently constituted, they are done as title contenders.

Most likely so, but I've learned to never count out a Greg Popavich coached team.

Coaching matters, but at the NBA level, it's most often about the horses.

True, but I still wouldn't be shocked to see the Spurs make the Western Finals.

^ Same. It was good while it lasted. I'd call it a dynasty.

I'm just glad the Spurs were able to stay standing long enough to choke the life out of Steve Nash's career. That is actually their greatest accomplishment: Making sure that piece of trash never got a ring.

Why the hate on Steve Nash?

There is no more overrated player in the last 25 years of the NBA.

Don't disagree with that a whole lot. I mean, he's one heck of a passer and 3 pt. shooter. However, the lack of a ring doesn't really help him out that much in terms of actually measuring how good he is.

Surely someone else would've stopped the team with the "most overrated player in the last 25 years" from winning a championship even if the Spurs didn't, right?

Yes, but the Spurs are the ones that did. Thus, they have my eternal gratitude.

I am befuddled as to how Steve Nash won the MVP two years in a row, and was close to a third.
