Agreed. That was ridiculous! There were two plays in particular that I saw and couldn't believe my eyes. Both on Lakers drives to the basket, both very similar. One was a Farmar drive down the middle and someone reached out and just grabbed his arm with no call. Same thing later on a Fisher drive. The officiating was horrible. It was interesting to see later in the game when Cassell was doing the exact same thing that Kobe did on his offensive foul and no call was made. Gasol gets crushed on a layup and no call. So many examples, so little time.

Karma for the no-call on Derek Fisher.

Pau "the pouter" Gasol.

Nothing new here.

I would just rather the foul get called no matter who has home court. Don't call a foul so the fans can cheer you.
Final free throw count in this game 34-22 L.A.

This makes me not want to watch the NBA anymore. I love basketball, but I don't want to laugh at the refs every game.

The total fouls were 28-23. Not that big a disparity.

I was talking about free throws. The refs can call lots of non shooting fouls to make it seem more even.

12 free throws does not signal fixing. If that were true then alot of college games are fixed.

I just don't think they are working that hard to outfox the general public.

Then why has the home team gotten "the calls" in every game? I called it after games one and two that when the series got back to L.A. the free throws would shift to L.A.. What I'm trying to say is that the refs like to be cheered so they give the home team the better calls. I'd just like to see the better team win without having to fight against the refs to do it. Are you trying to tell me that L.A. got better at defending while Boston got wrose in two days?

it's a huge disparity considering the size of the spread in the other direction in game one.

Foul disparity is often about style of play and aggressiveness, and that doesn't change on airplanes. I know I'm on record as saying the home court is most often protected by the officials, but there is some truth to that.

Van Gundy acting last night like it would take an enormous conspiracy is out of his mind. It only takes a couple of officials and one league officer.

The game was definitely better officiated last night in comparison to game 2, but there were still some very questionable fouls. Both ways!
