I don't like the Pats or their fans, but they don't remotely approach Sox fans in their bandwagonness. |

| oh that's definetly true. i can't tell you how many people i know who now claim there were longtime sox fans who i never even knew liked baseball. they have all these people who merle went to college there or lived there for a year or two who think that that allows them to jump on the bandwaggon with their brand new big pappi jersies. |

I tried to watch the Pats and like them once I got up here, and the fans quickly made me regret that. For some reason, I can stand the Sox fans around here....
The Red Sox have gone buy crazy on their pitching staff (starters), but they are remedying that. Lester and Buccholz will be good starters I think and Masterson may be. You've also got really exciting players in Pedroia(r), Ellsbury, and Papelbon - all who they drafted and players that were critical to last year's success. Boston is getting ready to have some power problems in the coming years...so Youk is going to have to get moved back to third and a power-hitting first baseman brought in (because I don't think they have one in the wings)...so that will be more buying. |

As you know, that's the key demographic of sports fans. Guys who consider all today's NBA stars "thugs" and would prefer to sit around and watch Larry Bird games on ESPN Classic.

I've lived in New England my entire life, other than a few forays here and there, and honestly couldn't have named a dozen pats fans until their run started. Now everyone walks around like jackasses with their jerseys.
Been a Sox fan forever, and the pink hats get annoying, but that comes with just about any team that is successful. I'll let everyone who figures i'm on a bandwagon just stay bitter, it doesn't hurt my feelings at all.
