| Eastern Conf. Finals Decent game so far. If Boston doesn't win both home games, they're screwed.
Anybody else watching?

| I'm flipping between it and Braves-Mets. I was just thinking that Boston is really clinging to this home-court thing; if they lose one of these two games, they're really behind the eight ball. |

| Despite the continuous shooting slump of Ray Allen, the Celtics are looking fairly strong heading into the 4th quarter. |

| I don't buy that the Celts are dead if they lose at home. They play enough D and have enough O (with Allen making something) to win on the road against this Piston squad that can get complacent in a hurry. Not to mention that the Pistons are always a couple of tough calls from Rasheed becoming useless or a bystander. |

Officiating is a huge arbiter and if calls go for the Celts in Auburn Hills like they did for the Pistons tonight, KG and Co can win there. |

| This has been one of the most fairly officiated playoffs I can remember. Even regardless of that, home teams are going to get calls. The key has been that in the game sevens the refs have not favored the home team.
The foul differential was only 22-19 Boston tonight. I didn't see any bad calls in the 4th quarter. |

Detroit shot an enormous # of fts in the first half, I thought. That was why they went to the half with a 7 pt lead. |

In the conference semis alone, home teams only attempted a measly 3.46 more free throws per game than the away team. That's not even 2 foul calls difference. If you take away the Lakers-Jazz series, its only 0.79 more FTs for the home team.

| So far in the conference finals, away teams have attempted an average of 1.2 more FTs per game than the home teams. There's your tremendous home cookin' by the refs. |
