| Grizzlies future Hopefully the grizzlies will land the SECOND pick in the draft and choose derrick rose. There are already talks of them pursuing elton brand in the offseason, so if they land both, thats a starting lineup that has mike conley/derrick rose (probably rose), rudy gay, mike miller, elton brand, and darko/kwame/insert incompetent center...........
with the trio of gay, brand and rose, that could poentially be an emerging powerhouse in the NBA. thoughts anyone? |

| I think the West is too competitive right now for a "powerhouse". With those guys I say that the Grizzlies still need another star to be a contender

| Someone please help the Grizz! I would love to see D Rose stay in Memphis. There was some talk about Dorsey going to the Grizz also. I would love to see that. |

Oh how the city of Memphis would love that... |

| i apologize, the word "powerhouse" is too strong, considering the stiff competition in the west. but i do believe we'd be good enough to contend for a playoff spot for sure |

I say we just keep sucking and keep getting good picks. |

| I know Chris Wallace's thoughts on drafting are to pick the best athlete, and not draft for needs. But sheesh - why would the Grizz pick Rose at #2? They have plenty of quality guards.
And picking Richard (Dick) Dorsey would be an absolute terrible move. They already have Darko and Kwame to stand around taking up space in the lane. |

2. Uh yea if we could get the first pick. He will go first if people want to keep their jobs.
3. Why would we have to trade down? You don't think we'll have a top 3-5 pick? |

2. Dream - someone screws up the first pick.
3. I was working under the thread idea we will have the #2 pick. Trade down to 4-8 range and pick up a good shooter. Or quite honestly, what the Griz really need is to find a big man to play in Iavaroni's system. Hopefully in evaluations, someone will shine. |

| 1. Money talks but so does competing for championships while already making near equal money.
2. Or I mean with the lottery system I guess we could luck our way into the first pick like Portland last year.
3. Yea I guess. There's just so much talent out there it's so hard to find guys that are going to translate into stars in the NBA. It looks like the first big man drafted will be Brook Lopez...personally I like him but I don't know how good he'd be long term in the NBA. |

| 1. The Griz are stuck waiting for the western powers to get old and more division parity. Right now it's the haves vs. have nots. Those Texas teams are are the back side of their best performances. Hopefully.
2. It could happen - karma from last year.
3. That's were I think their best option will be to go after some proven young talent already in the league. |
