Oden - what was he thinking?

Oden already a thorn in the side of the blazers? First he shows an alarming warning sign of a big man with knee problems, now he's out in a pickup game.

I agree with the coach that it was an innocent mistake, but alarmingly stupid. Why is he even going to a neighborhood gym anyway, surely Portland has a practice facility and weight room of their own?

Yes. He dropped in at the 24 Hour Fitness down in Tualatin, near his home. I worked with him on some of his home theater stuff when I worked at the Best Buy across the freeway.

I can tell you after meeting him a few times... He's not the sharpest tool in the shed. Nice guy, and hopefully for my Blazers a tremendous talent in the NBA. Just not all there sometimes.

I want to know how a team with Greg Oden at the local gym on 9 foot goals, loses a game if he's hurt or not.

he's a kid wanting to have fun with his friends. Big deal. Obviously the Blazers didn't think too much about it.
