| when your 11-50, michael jordan, magic johnson, wilt the stilt, kareem and bird couldn't bring you back. Losing Mcgrady might be the difference between a 14 win season and a 15 win season. |

| The Heat were done after losing in the playoffs last season. They are just not very good. Acquiring Marion benefits the Heat, but other than that nothing except Wade. They need a great draft

How did McGrady get into this mix? | that's just it. He didn't join that mix. I was just pointing out that it doesn't really matter whether anyone is really playing for the Heat right now.
I guess Wade has joined the Round Mound of Rebound with those commercials, but that's the closest he's come to eliteness so far. Not saying he doesn't have potential, just saying he has a long way to go. |

| am I missing something or do the Heat still have to win the lottery balls? It's not a given the Heat get the Number one overall pick, unless the rules changed since i stopped caring a whole lot about the NBA. |

| The ping pong ball lottery is absurd. Last year the Grizzlies were the worst team and got the fourth pick. |

| yeah, but it would suck if the knicks and heat both completely gave up and tanked to fight over the guaranteed first draft pick. I kind like the lottery balls idea. |

| Miami has been done. They were in bad shape from the get. Pat Riley needs to some serious scouting while he is on leave. Even if they get Michael Beasley, they need to fill their roster so they can have some depth. |

Like maybe the teams within so many percertage points of being the worst team are eligible for the first few picks or so, and then the next few compete for the next few spots, and so on. Keep the lottery aspect, but don't let a team right on the verge have the chance to get the top pick. |
