Reggie Miller to the Celtics?

ESPN - Miller says he's pondering comeback with Celtics - NBA

Dear lord I hope not. Don't like him as an announcer and didn't like when he was with the Pacers.

Yeah, a team desperate enough to contemplate signing a guy 7 years past his prime is really going to dominate the East.

Not if he's going to the Celtics. They have about the same chances of winning an NBA title as the Wizards.

They would be better off going after Mr. Bird.

Charles Barkley should come of retirement and play for the Celtics, he would be better and funnier than Old Man Miller.

Kevin Garnett is an 8 time All Defensive player in his 12 seasons. I think he plays a little defense. Ask Duncan.

And which team in the east should they be worried about?

Cleveland won the east as a one-man show, but they're still just that. Detroit got beat by a one-man show. Good as Gilbert Arenas is, the Wizards are about as legit as his shark attack routine. The Miami chapter of the AARP won't do anything.

That's just the thing. You say Boston has no depth, but neither does anybody else in the east. They can win it.

Garnett is an A list defender. Allen and Pierce can't guard the ground where they stand.

To quote noted American philosopher Vincent Kennedy McMahon, "No chance in Hell." The Celts are no better than Washington. You win with defense in the playoffs. The Celts have exactly two guys, Rondo and Garnett, who are above average defenders. The rest of their guys fall between awful and disgraceful.

Every team you mention in that post, as well as Orlando and Chicago, will finish ahead of Boston in the East. New Jersey probably will, as well.
