Tunisia's coach looked like he was coaching at the Y on saturday morning in those blue jeans. USA team looks like the Harlem Globe Trotters when they go on a run, pretty cool to see. Most of the impact players are mid 20's or younger, they'll only be better next time around.

We'd still dominate U23, IMO. Just as long as they are smart enough to pick the right players. I like the idea of a FIBA WC.

And the records come tumbling down.

United States 156 - 73 Nigeria

Records...

Points scored in an Olympic basketball game (previous: 138 by Brazil)
Three point shots made: 29
Individual scoring: Carmelo Anthony 37
Margin of victory

29/46 from the three point line.

If this team shomehow manages to go through the gold medal game winning by 20-30+, I think they will have surpassed the dream team, given that other countries are actually taking basketball seriously now.

Watching them was something you had to see to believe. You can't even properly describe it.

Hopefully NATO will not get involved after the Nigerians were terrorized by the US National Team.

It's a marketing debate. In reality the teams that the 2012 US Team is playing have a whole lot more players with time in the NBA compared to the 1992 team.

That being said, I still give the edge slightly to the 1992 team simply based on the inside presence on that team whereas this team is missing Howard. If this team has Howard, it's a different story, imo.

Well, the 20 - 30 points is off the table.
