Might be the best back and forth between those two in years. Stern showed some true colors there. I'd expect an apology in some fashion. Totally classless jabs right till the end of the interview.

Clown question but I like it. I like seeing Stern put on the spot. It's funny seeing him get angry.

I just heard the whole thing. For those that want to know, start around the 8:00 mark. That's when things get interesting. Between Stern and Rome, Stern was the most classless in this interview. I can't stand either, by the way.

Who gives a crap?

Jim Rome has been a tasteless, classless piece of garbage for as long as he's been on air. There's stirring the pot, and then there is being a d*ck. Rome's the latter.

Why isn't somebody like Dan Wetzel invited to watch the actual ping-pong ball part of the lottery every year? That's all it would take to make this go away. And yet they don't.

In the exchange with Rome, Stern said Ernst and Young certified, so I would think they had someone watching

Do they actually do it with ping pong balls? I don't know, but I doubt it.

I mean with the odds as precise as they are, that would be a lot of ping pong balls. Maybe they do, but I'd bet they use a computer.

They did allow a reporter in, as well as representatives for each team. And that reporter is fairly certain it's not rigged. Although there is still a possibility the balls are rigged somehow.

The Point Forward » Posts Behind the scenes at the draft lottery «

I think the use of certain referees during critical home games that are known to call a certain ridiculous way is ruining the game. The reffing is terrible. The draft, while funny how it works out good for the league (in my best Vince McMahon voice), doesn't change the way the games are played.
