About this Page -- This is a discussion on (2) Heat vs. (3) Pacers Page 29. within the forum NBA Basketball. Lol not surprised at all to see the foul upgraded. As I said, it was easily an F2.
The point ...
You guys are in the minority. Almost every commentator I've seen today has seemed to think that Hansbrough was making a tough basketball play and that Haslem and Pittman's fouls were just goonish and that they deserve to be suspended at least for Game 6. Considering we haven't heard anything from the NBA today though, it would seem no suspensions are forthcoming.
Well that's fine because we all know how commentators are right 100% of the time.
When I said Hansbrough's foul was a F2, I was saying that based off of the foul, not what anyone else said or thought.
You are telling me from the replays that are in slow mo you can not see he made a play on the ball? I mean, he hit hit the ball with his wrist then hand. (:42)
I will give it to you that the rake across the face was a flagrant. If he would have done that without hitting the ball then yea sure it is a flagrant two.
My point was that Hansbrough's foul was as rough, or at least nearly as rough, as Haslem's. The fact that he acted like it was a play on the ball doesn't change that.
Never once did I say that he didn't touch the ball, or that it would change anything. Sure, he smacked the ball, but you don't move your arm with that kind of force going after a block. You seem incapable of grasping that, though, so I'll just move on.

I hope that when they go up to block a ball they swing at it with all they got and send it into the 20th row. So, just because it was as rough means it is a flagrant 2? good call.
