According to Will Purdue the source of all the rumors about Cal to this team or Cal to that team is Cal himself. It seems that Cal alone does not receive much interest from the NBA but a package like this has to be tempting.

Kentucky fans would be sick if this happens. I don't think it will by the way but it would be similar to Kiffin ditching us for USC except Calipari, unlike Kiffin, has a history of winning.

I may have the spelling wrong but he was big at Vandy who went on to play with the Bulls during their championship stretch.

Kiffin leaving Knoxville would be nowhere close to this.

Tennessee football fans were burning cars for a coach who has won nothing and went 7-6. How do you think fans of one of the premier teams in college basketball will react if their coach leaves after an elite 8 season with top recruits already lined up for the next couple of years?

I like that these rumors keep coming out even after Cal has made an announcement he's staying at KY.

Because that's what coaches do. Even if they don't know if they are staying or going, they always claim to be staying. Cal did it at Memphis, Saban did it before going to Bama.

For the sake of the program and the fact that they are being paid by said school they have to.

Agreed. It's just the nature of the industry.
