rumor has it bobby labonte will drive in the 07. but with JD leaving i dunno how it will affect the rumor now bc spondors r hard to come by.espcially the way rcr has been running this year.i hope bobby goes to rcr but if the rumor isnt true i dont see mears staying there.

I like RCR....when stewart started driving a toyota i became a bowyer fan. The Jack Daniels 07 is a sweet looking car. I don't know what happend to RCR this year but with the Jack sponsor leaving that can't help things for sure.

I would say this is all about return on investment, or should I say lack of it. You never see Robby or Casey at the front of the pack or on television. Would you want to sponsor a car nobody knew about? I think J.D. got hosed when they moved Bowyer to the 33 car and left them with Mears. I like Casey, but he is not a high caliber driver.

I would agree with you on getting hosed by putting casey in the car.

However Robby Gordon is not getting the kind of money from Jim Beam that Jack Daniels was/is putting into RCR.

Jim Beam is probably only putting in around $7 Mil compared to JDs $17-$20 mil a year.

So technically Jim Beam could be profiting more then JDs

But obviously not engogh to warrent them staying around.

I don't see Bobby driving a JD sponsored car. That could be a factor. I know sponsorships are limited but didn't Petty refuse any alcohol sponsors on his cars?

I thought I remember Bobby talking about how he liked that. Any thoughts on that?
