Today's Wreck

pretty brutal wreck today.

you have to at least give NASCAR credit for keeping their drivers safe. saw where Labonte was taking to the hospital, but other than some beat up ribs, should be ok.

The most violent multi-car wreck at the Glen by far. I think it would not be overstating to say there would have been more serious injuries in the older car.

Michael McDowell made one of the stupidest moves ever. Of course, ESPN would never show what made him so pissed at Gilliand to begin with. Still, it was amazing that Hornish was able to continue after hitting the barrier. David and Bobby both took hard licks. I hope Bobby gets out of it alright.

That was an insane crash. Read that Bobby was doing fine, just sore, taken as precaution.

Bobby was checked at a local hospital after the Watkins Glen crash and cleared to race at Michigan. I'm sure Bobby's OK but he will probably be sore for awhile. I don't think it's any coincidence that McDowell was removed from the 00 car though the official reason given was his failure to crack the top 35 in points. McDowell has been bad news on the track all season and has gained a reputation for causing wrecks like the Bodines,Johnny Sauter, and Sam Hornish Jr.
