the radar was showing the storm moving southwest to northeast over the track as it was building up steam. it wasn't going to stop anytime soon.

i don't know how long it takes to dry the track once they've lost it, but even if it would have quit raining, the track was gone and you're looking at what has to be at least 1.5 hours.

not worth it for 20 something laps.

They did the same thing last year at Kansas, and it was a lot later. And the rain had ceased once they were going off the air

it was still raining (hailing too) when they went off the air today.

not like Kansas at all. plus Kansas is bigger, so factor in more time to dry the track.

Look at the radar, I disagree. 2 examples of races that were ran last year in worst positions was Kansas and Pocono. They could have had this race in by 8:15
