| Does anyone else think it is stupid to allow the 2nd place driver in the Showdown to make it into the All Star race? Come on this is the All Star race, not the "My Best Finish is a 2nd Place in a Watered Down Race, with People and/or Equipment Not Good Enough to Win a Race in a Year and a Half."
And while I'm complaining. I like Elliott Sadler, but what he said last night made him look stupid. I guess he forgot what he did last week to Stewart.
And don't get me started on Darrell Waltrip's love fest with Kyle Busch. |

Johnson from last year.

what i don't get is how there wasn't a rule about this. in fact, i was under the impression that any modification to the body would result in a huge fine and suspension. | This is not a body modification, it is done with the rear axle of the car and the chassis.

Elliott Sadler will never be mistaken for a great thinker.

| Not only is it ridiculous that the 2nd place winner gets in, it's even more ridiculous that the fans get to vote someone in. |

| i'm not a Eury fan either, but i don't think there's much more you can ask from the guy right now.
i'll be curious to see how the overall opinion of him changes if he can pull off a few wins. i'd say Junior looks like a prime candidate to be in the hunt for the Championship down to the last race. |

If you're letting the fan favorite into the Daytona 500, that's one thing, but for a non points race, I don't understand how it's an issue. |

Usually it's a Kenny Wallace or Kyle Petty getting voted in, which completely diminishes the entire concept of the race, being the best of the best. I have no problem with Kahne winning, I just have a problem allowing fans vote a guy in who USUALLY doesn't deserve it. |

| -i have no problem with the fan vote
-i wish they would bring back the vote to invert the field.
-and make the final segment 50 laps, thereby forcing a stop
-the Open is a heat race. since these guys have been driving, most heat races take the top 2 into the next race, be it the last chance, A-Main, B-Main, etc.
-lose the burnout contest |
