yeah, i have some.

-without knowing anything about your camera, be sure you have the correct shutter speed. if there is a setting for a sports/action shot, use that setting. it allows your shutter to click off pictures quickly and simultaneously. i do this for my pictures because i can select the best one from 10 pictures. i wish i had some of those i could show you.

-the best time to take pictures of cars is under caution. they're not moving as fast so you can get shots of the car. if the car is moving, you want to follow it with the camera. this will give a clear image of the car but it will blur the background.

by no means do i claim to be even an amateur photographer but i get some good shots with those two tips right there. your best bet is to get a big memory card and just play around with the settings. sometimes i'll use a completely different setting for track panorama shot than for an up close car shot. take lots of pictures and find what looks the best.

best part about a digital camera is you can erase the picture right on the spot if it's bad.

Best of all good advice given Doozer, volume makes up for waiting for a good shot. Some of my best pics were purely serendipity ones, usually not even known when taken.
