A big screen version of the 60’s TV classic “Gilligan’s Island” is reportedly in the works. According to Variety, the sitcom, which ran from 1964 to 1967, is being developed for the big screen by Warner Bros. and Atlas Entertainment.

Its not about being out of ideas its about making money and Hollywood had its biggest year revenue wise in history last year. Gilligans island has already built a fanbase and it will make a ton of money even if it sucks. Hollywood is taking less risks now and its a smart financial move.

There have always been bad movies. People just forget them because they suck. If you think every movie from past decades was a good movie then you are sadly mistaken.

Also, take a look at the best picture nominations this year, 9 out of 10 are original stories.

Great movies are out there, you just have to look for them.
