| They've all been terrible and that's surprising because it was about the opposite I thought i'd get from Raimi. I thought he would bring some originality but instead he brought fourth the most cliched pieces of junk I've seen in a while.

the movie series is like 8 years old, and also - whether you're a fan or not - the movies have grossed an insane amount of money, even the 3rd one too did huge in the box office
you usually don't reboot something that's either a) financially successful already or b) less than like 12-15 years old
pretty uncommon to see such, especially scrapping everything in the last 8 years including one in the last what, 2-3?

| If you've seen 3:10 to Yuma, he's the son. Better than Tobey Maguire.

Hey, at least it wasn't Hayden Christensen, destroyer of franchises. |

Hey, at least it wasn't Hayden Christensen, destroyer of franchises. | Has he really earned that title at this point? I dont think he's really gotten any work outside of star wars has he? |

Also, he was the worst actor in Factory Girl. Why anyone let him act in an Andy Warhol/Edie Sedgwick piece is beyond me.
All that aside, destroying Star Wars is like peeing on the burning bush (if the Old Testament thing floats your boat). I'm aware that George Lucas played as much a role in doing that, but the only way to make bad writing worse is bad acting/delivery. |
