I'm surprised that Vanderbilt would let Jay-Z perform there. Oh well, it's at least 1,000 times better than what ever po-dunk redneck bluegrass band that Tennessee would book.

I believe Vandy invited groups like Earth, Wind & Fire and Parliament to their campus before.

They are waaaaaaayyyy looser in terms of who they bring than UT could lie about doing.

Had no idea. Forgive me if I don't picture Vanderbilt as a type of institution that would book those types of bands and acts.

I kind of wish Tennessee would do something like that.
