| | VN Night Watch | Bump. A thread about a freakin' movie with Sandra Bullock gets all sorts of attention, but this doesn't get one reply?!
This series will be SO GOOD.

| Major bump. Pretty bumped about this series. If it's half as good as BoB, it will be great.

| some of Tom Hanks' recent remarks are troubling, but if he was able to keep his politics out of this, I think it has the potential to be just as good as BoB.

| I have set this to record. I agree MG, if Tom words start to interfere, screw him and the series. |

| I'm unaware of Hank's words or views. I don't see him bringing them into a series about the Pacific theater.

| For anybody that doesn't have HBO, try ninjavideo.net. They will probably have every episode loaded up within a day.

| that the war in the Pacific was fueled by racism and a desire to eradicate every Japanese citizen, not just the soldiers. he then equated that to the modern war on terror.

And it was nothing like the modern war on terror.

| I still haven't read or heard exactly what he said. Was he talking in generalities about the US hating Japanese, if so, I would think this to be accurate. My parents still have a deep hatred for japanese. Was he comparing the war on terror to what could happen or that is it blatantly a war of racism against muslim?
