Haven't seen anything about problems with that disc. Perhaps it's a bad disc? Maybe there's some BD Live data on there it's downloading? (You given 20-30 minutes to load?)

It says in the introductory that the disc may not play in certain Blue ray players and you may need to download an update, my PS3 is up to date.

It plays thru the advertisements of new movies coming out then screen goes blank and I have no control after that. I actually have to cut the PS3 off manually not with controller. I don't have a clue, first time this has happened. I have given it about 10 minutes after screen goes blank, but it acts like it hung up. Looks like there is no activity what so ever.

Just throwing stones here, but have you tried going into your PS3 settings and turning off BD Live? I believe there's an option to do that. If it's hanging on grabbing the extra content online, this would skip past it.
