In the same vein, but a little newer, Hayles Carrl.
Someone mentioned bluegrass earlier, Split Lip Rayfield.
Blues/Rock, Catfish Haven.
And since this is a UT forum they may not be considered "differen music" since they're from Memphis but, Lucero. |

I forgot the whole youtube part of this thread so here's one from Hayes. YouTube - Hayes Carll - It's a Shame (live)
Didn't seem to be one for a song called Knockin' Over Whiskeys but I could only google since youtube is blocked here at work but that's a song I can listen to enough right now.
Edit: Just to keep from posting over and over again I thought I'd throw it in here. YouTube - Justin Townes Earle - South Georgia Sugar Babe
Steve Earle's son, another guy I can't stop listening to right now.

Completely agree about Eddy. I've got a version of "Live Forever" that was recorded at a show on Father's Day with Billy Joe, Robert Earl Keen and Todd Snider where BJS tells the story of how he and Eddy wrote that song together. Its sad but it makes for a great rendition of the song. |
