wow that sucks. I didn't become a Dave fan until later, but I'm a huge fan now nonetheless. That is terrible news to hear

Saw 30 or 40 shows from 94 to 99 or so. Always a nice guy when we talked. Sad to hear.

Was never really a DMB fan, although I can appreciate their music. Always sad to hear a fellow musician go. RIP.

Very sad news. LeRoi's haunting sax and shadowed demeanor will live forever amongst music's greats.

DMB has been a huge influence to my own personal musical style. I have been a huge fan since the early 90's, and nearly all of my friends share a love for the songs that really accompanied our journey through college and medical school. While the songwriting and guitar really defined Dave's style, the backing of LeRoi and Boyd set the music apart from most everything else that has been around.

The music world lost a great this week. RIP, LeRoi. We love you, brother.
