The original elm street was scary as hell.
It scared the hell out of me as a kid and still creeps me out till this day. The music, effects, and acting were amazing. The scene where Freddy throws rocks at Tina's window and whispers her name turned my blood ice cold. We he appears with those outstretched arms as says "This is God" still gives me shivers.

The original elm street was scary as hell.

When I was in 3rd grade I watched it at a friend's house after school. It absolutely terrified me.

Then I became a huge horror fan for the next couple of years.

This is indeed sad news.

One of my buddies back in college ate some shrooms and watched Nightmare on Elm Street - idiot. It messed him up in the head for a few weeks. lol

I always appreciated to irony of one of the greatest horror film directors having the last name "Craven".

RIP Wes - you scared the hell out of a generation
