Will Smith leading the way as executive producer.

Smith's production company, Overbrook Entertainment, is in the very early stages of developing a new show that "puts a new spin on the fish-out-of-water tale while maintaining the spirit of the original series." The pitch is still in the works, and Smith is expected to start shopping the show in coming weeks along with his not-divorced wife, Jada Pinkett-Smith.

While the show was built around Will, it was a great show because of the supporting cast members. Carlton and Uncle Phil will be impossible to replace. This is a dumb idea.

We're talking about hundreds of channels vs about 35 (when the original FPOBA was on)....recycling old ideas is inevitable.
