Going to see them on Thursday at the AZ state fair. Will be my third time seeing them. They were my first concert (without my parents) at the ampitheater in Knoxville when I was 13, way back when the blue album came out. Like them or not, they put on a hell of a show and are so cool to their fans.

The new album is pretty good...kind of a throwback to their old stuff. Anybody else give it a listen yet?

LOL, one of my least favorite songs...I tend to like the stuff that doesn't get radio play, the most.

Cool I'll check them out...and if you like this kind of music in general, I highly recommend an indy band called the Promise Ring (but only 2 of their albums - Wood/Water and Very Emergency):

Yeah, their hits from the first album were awesome...after the first album, their hits were OK, but not their best stuff. Their best album is Pinkerton, and there weren't any singles from it that were popular.

Sweet, I'll listen to them when I get outta this meeting.

The lead singer of FM Static lost his finance on 9/11. She went to one of the towers to get money for there weeding which was set for 9/18.. The song tonight was for her.

Here's another great artist, I remember when this video had under 100,000 views

My four year old son calls them his favorite band.
They did a song in the second Cars movie, so that opened the door for me to introduce him to Island in the Sun and Buddy Holly.

I've seen them twice in the last 4-5 years. Outside show at a festival was the best.

Did they do anything crazy? Last time I saw them was the red album tour, and Rivers jumped on a trampoline the whole show and they invited like 100 fans up there to help them play a song with instruments ranging from kazoos to violins. It was pretty fun.

They had 2 drum sets going for Undone and asked the guy from Angels and Airwaves/Blink 182 to perform it with them. It rocked my face off.

I liked the promise ring.

I've got a few more folk musicians I'll post once these storms go through

Wow! I have my own thread, and it isn't even in the zone! This is awesome! I think I might cry.

Weezer fan? Hell no! Dude keeps asking me for shirtless, baby oil hugs.

Told you yesterday, I gave that to Jerry for his birthday. I do not understand your resistance to hugging.

Everybody loves me.

"Say It Ain't So" is definitely high on my list. I think "Undone" is my all time favorite, even though virtually no one understands what the lyrics are actually saying.

Most people rarely understand what I'm actually saying.
