| Bit of a misleading thread title (probably should be "A green lantern")
It's the old character from like the 40s, the one before they completely redid everything in the 60s (which became the modern one everyone knows today) |

| The writers thought process on it was interesting. Alan Scott had two kids before the New 52 reboot that have been wiped out of current continuity. One of them happened to be a gay character for several years. Part of the initiative of the New 52 was creating more diversity within the catalogue of characters. So by eliminating one the writer decided to balance it out by changing Alan Scott gay.
BTW, the golden age Green Lantern is not connected to the Green Lantern Corp. |

Anybody that keeps up with DC comics and Green Lantern know they're are many Green Lanterns. It appears you're not familar with it and you (like many others) automatically think of Ryan Reynolds. |

Of course I already knew about this story so I wasn't misled.
The Alan Scott GL is not associated with the modern GLC. |

| I have a buddy that got a Green Lantern tattoo on his forearm about six months ago. Can't wait to hear how he feels about that now. |

| Wouldn't matter to Blake Lively. The Green Lantern in the movie is Hal Jordan. Alan Scott ops the gay green lantern. |
