SIAP. I searched the forum and found no thread about the remake of Total Recall starring Colin Farrell.
I'm on record with my displeasure for these remakes of films from the last 30 years(Robocop, The Thing come to mind). This is another movie that I feel should not be remade but the trailer has me kind of undecided ATM.
Parts of the trailer directly re-shoot scenes from the 1990 version while others look absolutely bad ace. Plus, it has two of Hollywoods hottest actresses, IMO, as co-stars, Kate Beckingsdale and Jessica Biel.

In fairness 2011's The Thing was actually a prequel. Still, remakes seem like a pretty lame way to make money, except they keep making money, which is little incentive to stop.
As noted, Kate & Jessica are enough themselves to make me consider watching.

Yes it was a prequel. And I think that made the movie worse because they had to line everything up just so to fit the 1982 Carpenter classic.

Uhh... no. I doubt this version gives us such a treat. It'll probably be rated PG-13.

I know Bryan Cranston(Breaking Bad, Malcolm in the Middle, Drive) is a part of the cast. Not sure if it's him but he would be awesome in that role.
