| Death Magnetic is good, IMO, regardless of era of the band. Not the best of their albums, but it's still good. All Nightmare Long and That Was Just Your Life melt my face.
Think my favorite is Shortest Straw, but it's hard to figure a favorite. And Justice and MOP are my favorite albums.
But don't sleep on Death Magnetic. |

| They have a ton of great songs, but without a doubt it's One. It's not even close. |

| | Lets start some Bullmess | My personal favorite is Bleeding Me. Don't really know why to be honest but if I could only listen to one more Metallica song it would be that.

do they have one that's less than 4 minutes in length? If so, that's the one.

| For Whom the Bell Tolls, but honestly I like hearing it live way more than the original album version.
I think Death Magnetic is pretty awesome. After the absolute crap that is St. Anger I wasn't expecting much but DM really blew me away. The only 2 songs I don't care for that much are Judas Kiss and Unforgiven III. The rest are great, and they just released a 4 song EP of songs that didn't make DM, and I like all of them.
Justice is probably my favorite album of theirs, but to be honest as crappy as Load through St. Anger is, there are still some songs on those albums I like. Even St. Anger I think The Unnamed Feeling is a good song.
